Incidents

I noticed that within a match’s “incidents,” there is no information about events such as when a team misses a penalty or when VAR is called. I believe this information is relevant. Example match: [https://sports.bzzoiro.com/matches/9583/](https://sports.bzzoiro.com/matches/9583/) On Sofascore: [https://www.sofascore.com/football/match/sao-paulo-juventude/FOsGO#id:15908977](https://www.sofascore.com/football/match/sao-paulo-juventude/FOsGO#id:15908977) At minute 88, VAR confirms a penalty. At minute 90+1, the goalkeeper saves the penalty. In the same match, at minute 49, a player’s card was changed after a VAR review. Another interesting piece of information would be to know how much stoppage time was added in each half. In the same match, 3 minutes of stoppage time were added in the first half and 4 minutes in the second half.

Resolution: Match event pages now show VAR review decisions and penalty misses. When a match has VAR decisions on record, they appear in a dedicated section showing the minute and outcome (for example: penalty confirmed, card upgrade). Penalty misses appear similarly. Both are also shown on the timeline bar with distinct markers. This covers matches played from now onwards. Stoppage time is already shown in the match header and the reporter confirmed they no longer need it added to incidents.

Thanks for the detailed request. I see what you're after. Right now, the incidents array on both /api/events/{id}/ and /api/live/ includes types for goal, card, and substitution — but you're right that VAR reviews, penalty outcomes (saves/misses), and stoppage time per half are missing. Those are genuinely useful signals for analysis. I'm escalating this to the team so they can assess feasibility and prioritize adding incident types like "var_review", "penalty_miss", "penalty_save" and exposing stoppage_time_1h and stoppage_time_2h fields. Your examples are clear and helpful — we'll keep you posted. Dora — BSD Support

Sorry, but I noticed here in the events that you used the type **injuryTime** for added time. Please disregard that part.

Great news — we've expanded the incidents array to include VAR reviews and penalty outcomes (saves and misses). You'll now see these new incident types on GET /api/events/{id}/ and GET /api/live/. Check the incidents field and you'll find the additional granularity you were looking for. Thanks for the detailed feature request — it really helped us prioritize this one. Dora — BSD Support
