Changelog - Week 35

Manager profiles, single-team top scorers, Asian handicap prices and a weekly ticket that builds itself, plus club search that finds the team you actually meant.

New football detail you asked for

Manager profiles are now live on the site and in the API: how long each boss has been in charge, what they have won, and how a club's results shift after an appointment. You can also pull the top scorers for a single team instead of reading a whole league table to find them. Yellow cards shown to coaches and players on the bench now appear at the minute they actually happened rather than five minutes before kick off, head to head pages carry a proper numeric scoreline for every past meeting, and the second leg of a two legged tie finally links back to the first.

Finding the right club

Search for a club and you get the club that plays, not an abandoned lookalike page with an empty squad. Where two sides genuinely share a name, we now make it clear which is the top flight club and which is the non-league one, so you can tell them apart at a glance.

Odds worth acting on

Asian handicap prices for football are new this week, corner markets return real numbers instead of coming back blank, and we have added another bookmaker aimed squarely at matches that previously had no price at all. Average prices are worked out from books that are genuinely live, a price quoted for a different fixture can no longer be presented as the best available, and one bookmaker missing a single line no longer wipes out the rest.

Weekly tips and budgets

Our weekly ticket now builds itself every week and we keep score of how it did, so you can judge it on its record. Budget suggestions stay put when you change your picks, and there is a clear ladder of stakes that finally answers the question we get most often: what about doubles?

Quicker and more complete

Long lists no longer slow down the deeper you scroll, the football fixture feed now reaches much further ahead than three days, and a list that says it is complete really is complete. Doubles are treated as a pairing rather than two names jammed together, everywhere you see them. And if our support assistant cannot answer your question, a person picks it up instead of leaving you hanging.
