Ipswich Town have committed over 137 million euros to nine incoming transfers, a spending blitz that has reshaped the squad in a matter of days. Six of those deals, worth roughly 113 million euros combined, have landed since last Tuesday.
The headline addition is Julio Enciso, secured from RC Strasbourg for 30.5 million euros. Abdul Fatawu Issahaku followed from Leicester City at 23.5 million, while Strasbourg provided a second significant piece in Abdoul Ouattara for 20 million. Florentino Luís arrived from Burnley for 18.7 million, and two Fulham departures, Saša Lukić (10.5 million) and Issa Diop (10 million), rounded out the paid acquisitions.
New spine, new ambition
The deals span almost every position: Enciso and Issahaku offer goal threat from wide or central areas, Ouattara adds another attacking dimension, Florentino Luís and Lukić strengthen the engine room, and Diop brings Premier League experience to the back line. Three other incomings on free or loan arrangements bring the total haul to nine.
No other club has matched the volume or velocity of Ipswich's activity. The Tractor Boys' outlay has effectively doubled the club's previous record spending in a single window, a statement of intent that will draw both scrutiny and expectation. Whether the new pieces gel quickly enough to justify the outlay remains the defining question of the weeks ahead.
