Qarabağ FK have quietly built a new-look squad through volume rather than marquee names, bringing in nine players across a series of modest transactions totalling approximately €7 million.
The most expensive piece of business saw the club pay €2 million to promote Elvin Cafarquliyev from their own second team, a rare example of a fee changing hands within the same organisation. Beyond that, no single deal exceeded €1 million. Hungarian defender Bence Várkonyi arrived from Zalaegerszegi TE for that sum, matched by fees for Cebrail Makreckis (Ferencváros) and Bruno Langa (Almería).

The recruitment sweep spans Hungary, Lithuania, Spain, Russia, Croatia and Azerbaijan itself. Renaldo Cephas joined from Pari Nizhny Novgorod for €880,000, while Martin Zlomislić cost €500,000 from HNK Rijeka. The remaining three signings came at undisclosed fees but form part of the nine confirmed paid deals.
It is an approach that favours depth and diversification over headline buys. Where some clubs have spent nine figures on individual targets, Qarabağ have opted for nine bodies at roughly the price of a single mid-tier European signing. Whether the strategy pays off will hinge on how quickly the new arrivals gel, but the breadth of the intake suggests a club intent on competing across multiple fronts without breaking the bank.
