Venezia splash €38m on eight signings as Adams leads summer rebuild

The Serie A side have committed close to forty million euros on half a dozen incomings, headlined by a striker from Sevilla.

Venezia are not messing about. Eight deals signed, €38m committed, and the centrepiece is a €16m capture of Akor Adams from Sevilla. The Nigerian forward arrives as the most expensive piece of a jigsaw that spans six different leagues.

Behind Adams, Albion Rrahmani joins from AC Sparta Praha for €7.5m, while centre-back Armel Bella-Kotchap crosses town from Hellas Verona in a €7m move. The German defender adds physicality to a backline that needed reinforcement.

Youth and width

Venezia have also moved for potential. Kornel Lisman, a wide player from Lech Poznań, cost €2.5m. Ale Gomes arrives from Real Zaragoza for €2m, and Bartol Franjić makes the switch from VfL Wolfsburg for €1.3m. Six nationalities, six clubs raided, and all done inside a compressed window.

The spending stands out in a market where most Serie A clubs are treading carefully. Venezia, by contrast, are backing their project with serious euros and a clear intent to stockpile attacking options and defensive steel in one sweep. Adams will be expected to deliver immediately; the rest will need time to adapt. But the intent is unmistakable.
