Suggestion: Club Elo ranking data for club and national teams

Thanks for the suggestion. Team rating data for clubs and national teams is a nice idea, especially for anyone modelling odds. Right now our football API does not expose an Elo-style rating. Adding it would be a new data field on the football side, so I have passed it to the person who owns the football product to decide whether and how it fits. If it goes ahead, we would compute the ratings ourselves from our own match results rather than copy an external ranking. I will update this ticket once there is a decision. Quick update on your Elo suggestion: the football product owner has looked at it and accepted it as a candidate for the roadmap. It fits the product, and if we build it we will compute the ratings ourselves from our own historical match results, not from any outside ranking. To be clear about where it stands: nothing exists today and there is no date. It is queued behind some performance work on the matches endpoint this week. If it ships, we will announce it in the changelog. On national teams, I can't promise them yet. Whether we can cover them depends on how many international results we hold, and that hasn't been checked. Club ratings are the more likely first step. I'm keeping this ticket open as the place to follow it. If you want to add what you'd need (history depth, update frequency, which endpoint), it will go straight to the product owner.
