**Palace host Lech in the Europa League opener, and this is the kind of statement moment:** a heavyweight Premier League side flexing at home against Polish opposition that's been solid but hardly intimidating on the continent. 🔴

Palace are spotty in the league (2W-3L lately) but have shown they can blow teams away at Selhurst Park—that 3-0 demolition of Middlesbrough and the 3-2 win over Fulham prove they've got attacking teeth. Lech are riding a three-win streak in the Polish league and arrive without five key players, which is a real blow to their squad depth.

Key storylines:

- **Palace's wing play** with **Timber** and **Pino** should have room to roam against a Lech side that's thin on defensive cover 💨
- **Lech's midfield engine** built around **Murawski** and **Berggren** will need to work overtime to disrupt Palace's tempo and avoid getting swamped
- Palace's missing attacking talent (**Mateta** out with hamstring) means **Khalaili** and **Larsen** get their moment; no room for error

Expected lineups:

- **Crystal Palace**: D. Henderson, T. Tomiyasu, C. Richards, D. Benamar, Q. Timber, T. Mitchell, D. Kamada, J. Larsen, Y. Pino, A. Khalaili, J. Canvot
- **Lech Poznań**: M. Lis, M. Gurgul, W. Mońka, M. Skrzypczak, J. Pereira, R. Murawski, G. Berggren, L. Palma, P. Rodríguez, A. Sayyad, Y. Agnero

Prediction:

**Palace 3–1 Lech**. Home advantage, better depth, and Lech's injury crisis make this a clear lean toward the Eagles.
