Short week, single focus: speed. If you work with fixture lists, this is the week you feel it most.
Match lists that load in an instant
Pulling up the full list of matches used to be a test of patience. On a busy day it could take the best part of half a minute before anything appeared on screen, which is a long time when you are building a page, checking a slate of games or just trying to see what is on tonight. That wait is now effectively gone: the same list comes back in a fraction of a second. Nothing about the information has changed, you simply get it straight away.
The next 48 hours, ready by default
When you ask for matches without telling us what you are looking for, we now show you what is happening over the next two days. For most people that is exactly the right answer: today's games, tomorrow's games, and the kick offs you are about to care about, with no setup required. If you need something further out, a historical run of results or a full season of a competition, ask for it by date or by competition and it is all still there. The difference is that the quick look is now genuinely quick.
Steadier when everyone is watching
Peak moments, weekend afternoons, big European nights, used to be when heavy requests could drag on and make things feel sluggish for everyone else at the same time. We have changed how we count and collect matches behind the scenes, so those heavy moments no longer hold up the rest of your data. In practice that means fewer timeouts, fewer retries in your own setup and more confidence that what you ask for will come back when you need it.
One theme, but a big one. If fixtures are the backbone of what you build, this week should make it noticeably more pleasant to work with.
